“My Shay Lemon Myrtle Deodorant paste is an effective, non-toxic, great smelling natural deodorant which comes in a larger screw top aluminium tin. When I say great smelling, I mean AMAZING smelling… scented with essential oils of lemon myrtle, lemongrass and orange, it smells fresh, moreish and delicious, whilst still being a subtle unisex scent.
Like it’s original scented sibling, I found this deodorant very effective and reliable. I totally trust that this works for a full day of rushing around after children or at work or a social event and I would not have to think about reapplying. It doesn’t leave marks on clothes and it’s super easy to apply, unless it’s freezing in the morning and then it requires a little bit of rubbing. I really like the larger tin and knowing I’m not going to soon be running out again. I also found this tin much easier to open than some tins, which was a welcome relief.
This deodorant does contain bicarb, however it seems not as much as some others as I have heard reports of people who are bicarb sensitive still using this paste successfully.

“My Shay is a paste deodorant based on shea butter, coconut oil and cacao butter. It has a lovely citrus scent. You only need a small amount to make it work. I found it to be effective and was surprised how much I liked the scent when initially I didn’t think I would. I react to bicarb but I didn’t in this product as the ingredient level may have been lower than some other natural deodorants or mixed with different ingredients. A great product.

“This is the first time I’ve ever applied deodorant using my fingers and admittedly I was not looking forward to it. I did use the little wooden stick provided to begin with but after a few days I thought, screw it – time to rub it in with my fingertips! And it wasn’t that bad! It’s funny how accustomed we become to using certain products, and stick or spray deodorant (remember Impulse?!) is all I’ve ever known in my thirty-something years. Surprisingly, I actually enjoy rubbing it in. If your armpit is clean, why is it any different to your face or anywhere else on your body?
As for the product, I have not encountered the smell of my perspiration or B.O since I started using it (I apply it once in the morning and once in the evening). The lemon myrtle smells lovely and the texture isn’t too thick, nor does it leave a residue on my clothing. I love this product – and I love that there’s no plastic involved.”
