For Finalists:
When the Finalists are announced, you will be notified of the expert panel reviewers to whom you must distribute your product. You must ensure that the product is delivered to reviewers within 2 weeks of receiving the reviewers’ details. You are responsible for ensuring that your products are delivered to the reviewers on time.
4 products for review will be required by the expert panel. They must be sent directly to the reviewers. * The bed linen, bedding and baby sleeping bag categories will only be required to send 2 more products for review after the initial entry review product.
You must ensure that your products are properly packed and secured in such manner as to enable them to reach their destination in good condition (this obligation includes paying any and all postage and packaging charges).
To the extent required, you shall ensure that your products are supplied with complete and accurate information to enable them to be evaluated and reviewed.
We suggest that you include some PR information to tell the testers what to look for, why your product is different and why it is better than other products on the market.
Please note that you are not allowed to include anything that could be considered a bribe. You may not contact the expert panel directly to ask for their feedback on your product or offer them any additional extras during the testing period. We will be forced to disqualify companies who attempt to influence testers. If requested, you will be provided with feedback and reviews from the testers which will be sent via the Australian Non-Toxic Awards.
Ownership of the products will pass to the reviewer following delivery of the product to the panel member and acceptance of them.
Australian Non-Toxic Awards Rosette Licence Agreement:
There is no cost to win an Australian Non-Toxic Awards rosette, but the licence to display the 2020 rosette on all packaging, correspondence, promotional and marketing materials, email signatures and (not limited to) social media artwork is only available to those who have a 10%+ commission affiliate program link through either their own website or a stockist.
If no related affiliate relationship is established, the licence will incur a cost of $200 per product. This affiliate relationship must be established, or the fee paid, BEFORE the artwork for the award will be issued. This affiliate relationship or license payment also enables an active ‘Click To Buy’ link on the Awards website.
The Australian Non-Toxic Awards reserves the right to withdraw the use of a logo for any reason as we deem necessary, including (but not limited to): inappropriate display of logo, defacing of logo (including adding words, icons and other graphics to the award logo) and non-payment of fees.
An Australian Non-Toxic Awards rosette may not be displayed on a product which has undergone reformulation or other significant change since the judging process has taken place.
Judging:
The initial entry products will each be judged by Emily Fletcher from My Non-Toxic Tribe and given a score in respect to the following list of criteria: (i) Choice and quality of ingredients and materials, (ii) Social responsibility – ethics of ingredients and materials, sustainability, responsible manufacture etc. (iii) Quality and function. The top 5 products in each category will be named as Finalists.
The Finalist products will each be judged by a minimum of 5 judges (except in exempt categories where less review products are provided, where there will be 3 judges) and given a score in respect to (i) quality, (ii) function, (iii) user friendliness. The judges will also answer qualitative questions on the products.
The highest 4 scores and the reviewer’s qualitative results will be used to decide the final winners who will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards. The Editor’s Choice rosette will be awarded by Emily Fletcher of My Non-Toxic Tribe. The winning brands will be given the opportunity to display the Awards rosette on the packaging of their Product and marketing materials (subject to agreement to the Rosette Licence Agreement above).
All entering brands will automatically enter the Social Responsibility Category of the Awards. The Social Responsibility Award recognises a business which leads change and is committed to making a significant positive impact on society. The winners in this category will be judged by the Australian Non-Toxic Awards Team, Emily Fletcher and Emma Freeman.
